Cozy Waterfront Cabin - Welcome to The Rookery

Come and enjoy our cozy waterfront 4 season cabin. It has all the amenities needed for a relaxing getaway. Full size kitchen (stocked with dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, coffee maker & kettle) & bathroom (shower only). 32 inch TV with a Firestick, there is no cable. There is WIFI. Sleeps 4. 1 queen bed on the main level & 2 single beds in the loft (ladder access only) Screened in porch with BBQ ( new in 2024) And a deck in front of the porch with more seating. Heated in the winter with propane.

We are 5 minutes from the eastern shore of Lake Superior and stunning sandy beaches, and directly across from Harry McCluskie Marina in Michipicoten River Village. 3 waterfalls are less than 5 minutes away;the largest can be viewed from the house. We are in a dark sky preserve so star gazing can be added to your list of activities; hiking,fishing,swimming, boating,climbing,kayaking or just relaxing on the veranda with your feet up,watching the boats come in or listening to the loons on the bay.

This newly renovated bungalow is centrally located, close to all amenities, and just a few minutes from Highway 17. The space is cheerful, tidy, and has been carefully designed with the Canadian north in mind. You'll find a cozy and quiet atmosphere, stocked with all the necessities (ie. towels, soap, coffee, TV etc). Enjoy some fresh air on the private deck in your peaceful backyard, or take a stroll through the woods at Fort Creek Conservation area, just a 5 minute walk from your front door.

Our Cabin is a 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, laundry, screen in porch with hot tub, tv with internet in living room and bedrooms. Wood stove, a fully equipped kitchen. Master bedroom has a king size bed that can be split to make 2 twin extra long. The second bedroom can be set up as king bed or 2 twins with trundle bed. The cabin is ground level for accessibility by wheel chair and the bathrooms are wheel chair friendly. Searchmont Resort is 5 km away. Ontario Snow mobile trails go through Searchmont.

Here you can unplug from life and reconnect with nature.This is a place to relax and recharge. You will find a beautiful four season off grid yurt(no electricity,running water), access to a fire pit and barbeque for cooking. Enjoy the river, sunsets, and incredible night skies as well as the wildlife, including otters, bears, deer, birds and bald eagles in the fall!

Breakfast/snack foods provided. Fully-renovated basement apartment in a shared home, perfect for families travelling with young children. Surprisingly bright bedrooms, comfy living area and full bathroom. Large kitchen with plenty of counter space and a dishwasher :) A highchair, potty seat and children's plates/bowls are all included. Toys, movies and books are available as well. There is a TV with Roku and DVD player (no cable).
