Welcome to Hearth & Hobbit, Columbia's most beloved home! Originally built in the late 1800s as a two room cabin, this historic cottage is known locally by many names such as the Gingerbread House, Hansel & Gretel House, or the Elf House. You will love this whimsical and cozy home full of historic details. Located less than one mile from Columbia's downtown district and Mizzou. **All guests must acknowledge/accept the rental agreement prior to booking. This is in the "House Rules" section**

The Bunk House

The Bunk House is an 8 by 12 foot shed with 3-4 bunks. There is a twin sized bed across the back, a bunk sized bed on each side and a plank to pull out to accommodate a fourth person in the middle over the walkway. With this adaptation, you have an 8 by 10 foot bed. We provide foam mattresses, sheets, blankets and pillows. There is an air-conditioner and a heater. Bucket toilet behind the bunkhouse. Fire ring available. No pets. The water is from our deep well - tested, certified and delicious!

Bluff House in Rocheport Missouri

The Bluff House faces the Missouri River on 7 acres of beauty, neighboring the Bougeois Winery! The Katy trail & Rocheport are 1 mile away. Our home is two stories. We are upstairs and the Air BNB is downstairs. The Airbnb has a spacious living room, fireplace and dining room. All with views of the river and an open concept kitchen. Your entrance is completely separate and locked for use only by you. You will have a private covered deck, Bench on the bluff, Bikes, Fire pit and a Hammock!

Our guesthouse is located on the NW side of Columbia. We can accommodate from 1 night stays to monthly reservations! 1 - 2 guests are recommended for long term and short term stays. 3 guests for short term stays. Welcome! This small open spaced building is comfortable and detailed to be extra clean. Take a look! You will have a thoughtfully furnished, ready to move in, lodging all to your own! Lots of amenities provided and extras too! Our place and property is very private and quiet.

Entire lower level of home with 2 beautiful large bedrooms, spacious bathroom with lots of hot water in shower! Beautiful fireplace in gorgeous living area with dining area. Kitchenette includes refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave and Keurig coffee maker This lower level apartment is light and airy with large windows in each room! Bedrooms include televisions along with big screen TV in living area. Private outdoor sitting area with fire pit to enjoy your evenings!

This cute house is on a working alternative farm that raises grass-fed beef and lamb. If you want to get away from the busy life, come sit on the porch and watch the sunset. A state park is close for kayaking and canoeing. There are some very nice restaurants and wineries close by or you can cook in the large kitchen. There are some great biking trails and horse back riding in the conservation area that's 2 miles away.

The Painter's Garden

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful, spacious, private home in a quiet, leafy neighborhood. Less than 1 mile off I-70 & 4 miles from downtown/campus/MU and Boone hospitals. Pet- and kid-friendly with a sizable, securely fenced backyard and cement patio with fire pit, charcoal grill, outdoor furniture and canvas shade. Cozy, modern interior features 40 original paintings by the owner and an electric fireplace.

Large Mother-In-Law Apartment Surrounded by Park

We have a delightful mother-in-law apartment that is perfect for families, business travelers, girls' weekends and more. The space includes two large bedrooms (one on the main level and one upstairs), a living room, kitchenette (no oven/stove) and bathroom, and it is fully furnished. We are pet-friendly, but charge an extra $50 to your reservation fee. Please let us know if you plan to bring a pet.
