This lovely house, formerly the home of society shoe designer, Oliver Sweeney, sits at the top of the quaint hilltop village of Hennock, near Bovey Tracey. With distant views over the valley and beyond, the enormous and fully fenced garden is sheltered, private and very secluded, and has many Mediterranean plants including palm trees, olives and figs. And if the weather isn't beautiful enough for sunbathing, the sitting room has a massive CuddleMuffin sofa, flat screen TV and wood burning stove.

It is a 5 minute walk to The Cridford Inn, 8 miles to Exeter, 10 miles from the stunning South Devon Coast and 3 miles from Dartmoor National Park.

There is so much to see and do here for all ages and the moors is just a couple of miles from the doorstep for endless exploration. Comfortable beds and all the modern conveniences, you can either rest and relax and enjoy the surroundings or fill your day with local activities! We are spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants in the local area including our classic local village pub!

Peaceful location, stunning views to Dartmoor

This lovely self contained wooden chalet (The Roadhouse) is set in a quiet rural location near Bovey Tracey with stunning views over the fields to Dartmoor. Surrounded by 100 acres of nature reserve, home to many rare species, a nature lovers paradise. There are some great pubs nearby, Exeter is 20 minutes, 10 miles to the sea and close to Dartmoor, Ashburton and Newton Abbot. Heated by a woodburner. Very cosy. I'm afraid we don't take children under 13.
