Cairngarth is near Heads Nook village in the upper Eden Valley. The cottage is suitable for families or friends looking to explore the Scottish Borders, Hadrian’s Wall, the Eden Valley, the foothills of the Pennines and the North Lakes and beyond. Heads Nook is 8 miles from Carlisle city centre and 5 miles from the M6. The peaceful country lanes are perfect for cycling or walking. Nearby, Brampton market town has shops and restaurants and there are other country pubs and restaurants in the area.

It has a private drive and garden with a terrace looking directly onto the lakeland fells. Plenty to do nearby: Takin Tarn, Hadrian's Wall, Lakes and Dales, Rhegged Centre.

Talkin village is a lovely location with a great pub. Our cottage is the perfect base to explore Hadrian's wall, the Lake District, Carlisle and the Pennines. We are lucky enough to have the Beautiful Talkin tarn just on our doorstep. The cottage was formerly the village postoffice, it has been fully renovated to high standard and is the perfect place to relax in front of the log burner after a day exploring the local area.
