A great private location with beautiful views of nature, you will feel relaxed and at ease in this beautiful area. Look out for the Northern Lights/Aurora with no houses on the north side of the road to block any view of them. The home has a comfortable queen bed. Cook on the gas range with all the necessary cooking utensils available. The house has Wi-Fi, TV / Amazon Fire Stick to watch your favorite shows. The house includes hot water to the taps, indoor toilet and stand up shower. (see below)

Walking through the kitchen/dining area into the living room is a pullout couch with extra linens and large windows to let in the Alaskan sun. Wilderness and Aurora views close to town - A charming cedar shake house perched on a bluff overlooking the Tanana River with a view of the Alaska Range mountains and northern lights when the weather permits. About 2000 square feet with 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed. Maximum occupancy in winter is 5 people if one person is willing to sleep on the very comfortable couch. Aurora viewable from within house if weather and aurora activity cooperate.

The little log cabin in the woods

This little log cabin gives guests an authentic Alaskan experience of "damp" (running water at the sink, heated outhouse, no shower) cabin living with all the creature comforts in a cozy spot nestled in the woods. It's close to town, but far enough away to see auroras in the dark winter skies. Close to trails and local entertainment and food, but you just might see a moose walk by.

Our UPSTAIRS studio has a full kitchen, bath and laundry that sleeps up to THREE people. The kitchen, dining, living and sleeping areas are all open to each other, while the bathroom and laundry have a separate space within the Studio. The Northern Lights Layover has a full kitchen, full bathroom with a beautiful walk-in shower, and a washer & dryer. The home also has a large, shared yard and off street parking with high speed internet and WIFI. The home is located less than 4 minutes from the airport!

We built the Rocky Top AirBnB as an Aurora-viewing, winter-loving house: its walls are a foot thick, with radiant floors heated by an environmentally-friendly vegetable-oil boiler. At night, watch the Aurora from bed or the large north-facing windows. The large couch is a comfortable place to watch the low winter sun traverse the mountains to the south during the day.
