The village is situated at an intersection of the Kerry Way walking trail and the world famous Ring of Kerry motorists’ route. In May 2020, it featured on RTE Home of the year and became a finalist in the top 7 homes in Ireland. Irish lights built all 76 lighthouses & keepers houses in Ireland, and this is the only lighthouse keepers house in a town in Ireland!
