Our two cabins Dogwood and Holly are located on a quiet, wooded 10 acre retreat that is 8 miles from Athens. Our special feature is a spring fed creek that flows year round and has it's own micro climate that is perfect for native ferns, mixed hardwood forest and dogwoods. We have provided a nature trail for bird watching and exercise. Recently we designed and constructed a beautiful pond with three waterfalls and a deck overhanging the water with chairs for enjoying our private paradise.

East Texas is known for treasure hunting, comfort food, and piney forests. The Farmhouse Studio is known for country hospitality, serene views, and comfy sleeps. Don't forget your fishing gear for catch and release acre pond! Come to just get away from it all. Suitable for a couple or a family with small children under 10. Keurig, microwave, toaster, mini fridge provided. Fire pit, outdoor furniture provided. There is NO full kitchen and no pets are allowed. 24 hour notice required.

Maybe I'm a little partial, but I really have to pinch myself when I go visit Callie's cottage. Imagine...a beautiful country road, quiet except for the occasional sound of a cow. A cottage tucked into an abundance of trees, wrap around porch, flagstone firepit area, patio lights strung across the yard, antique mantle with gas fire, crystal chandelier, beadboard from an 1800's farmhouse, a tub big enough for two, the lushest bedding, classical music plays, sweets served. We are just 4 miles south of I-20, and an hour and fifteen minutes in either direction from Dallas and Shreveport. Surrounded by evergreen forest, two creeks, and plenty of wildlife - Cana Cottage is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The cottage sits about 200 feet from our main home.
