Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

The accomodation is centraly located near to the Town Hall, very close to the High Street with walking distance to cafes, restaurants, shops and tourist attractions. The Cosy Flat offers a delightful blend of modern amenities and homely touches, ensuring a memorable stay in the Scottish Borders. Accessibility Information: The flat is a two-level maisonette. Entry to the property involves a set of stairs, and there are internal stairs connecting the two levels. The toilet and bathroom are located on the first level, while the bedroom is on the upper level. While many guests find the layout comfortable, it may not be ideal for those with limited mobility.

Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.

My place, close to transport links, is a perfect base for country or city. The flat, originally a 1920’s bungalow, is in the downstairs part of the house separated by a locked door and we live in the upstairs part of the house. We’re in the heart of the historic Scottish Borders with beautiful Edinburgh only 50 minutes away by train. Why not relax with a glass of wine in the private garden, jacuzzi bath or snooker room or curl up on the window seat with a good book.

Situated in the picturesque Scottish Borders Unique in character and set in the heart of the town of Galashiels. Rose Cottage is a 200 year old traditional stone house which has been lovingly renovated to a very high standard. Quirky, and cosy it contains, one small double bedroom, a lounge with a log fire, kitchen and a fantastic shower room both with underfloor heating. Close to Heriot Watt University, the Borders Railway and Town Centre.

Running well, first trains to Edinburgh start before 7am, and last return just before midnight - perfect base for Edin Festival.
