When the Hobbit is away, you are welcome to stay! His shire is located in beautiful down town Sylva, NC. The front door is minutes away from trout streams, coffee shops, book stores, antique shops, numerous breweries, and restaurants! If you can manage to leave the comfort of our bed, put the kettle on, have some tea and curl up with a good book. Whip up a second breakfast on the hot plate. Town is a two minute walk. Hike, fish, have a pint or two, shop,or find a pot of gold at Harrah’s Casino.

There is NO FULL kitchen, but we have provided a microwave, coffee maker, fridge and most basic plates/utensils/glasses. Washer and dryer are provided. There is a mini split unit to ensure you have your own control over air/heat for comfort. Downtown Sylva has wonderful farm to table restaurants, breweries, and retail stores....ALL WALKING DISTANCE.

The guest suite is a complete private apartment with a separate entrance and driveway, and is on its own level. The rental includes it’s own full kitchen with dining area, Livingroom, work space with desk and a separate large sleeping area. Your bathroom includes a walk-in shower and a seated vanity. The only connection to our house is a locked door to the stairwell. The view from the rental includes lots of trees and a glimpse of the Great Smoky Mountains in the distance.
