Please note: we are not located in or near Bar Harbor. We are not oceanside. There is no electricity, heat or AC in the tent. No pets are allowed. We are happy to host families, including children.

The Wheeky Pig

Hi! I am 9 years old and I am the boss of this campsite. I really love guinea pigs. They are fluffy, they eat a lot of carrots, and when they get super happy, they jump in the air (it is called "popcorning"), so that's how the name came about. Here is what you need to know about my camp: The Spot: It is a really great spot to put your tent, the ground is soft (just like guinea pig bedding!) The thet area can accommodate a 4-6 person rectangular tent. The ground is a little sloped.

Saw Mill Slumber, Waterfront Yurt/Tent Stay

This 14' bell tent looks over Webb Brook and the old saw mill that serviced the area over 100 years ago. Beauty and history combined with the wonders of nature make this a place you'll never forget. Fishing, kayaking, swimming, hiking, ATVing and tubing are just some of the past times while exploring this magical area. Graham Lake is just a walk away with public boat access. Picnic table and fire pit provided. About 35 minutes to Acadia National Park and all of the Downeast region.

The wall tent is 12x14 with a full-sized bed, wood stove, fire pit, and an outhouse. The tent sits on 100+ acres of beautiful woods and ponds that are free to explore. Dogs are welcome, there are 3 resident dogs, 2 collies that will greet you and a retired guardian dog. Also a couple of sheep, possibly pigs, and various fowl. Martha is always willing to give a tour of her farm garden. There are no official hiking trails on the property, lots of hiking trails on the island.

This is the perfect place to reconnect with nature. Kayaks and fishing poles are available for you to enjoy during your stay. Not far from the main house is your large queen bedded tent set on a spacious platform. Relax in the Adirondack chairs on your deck and listen to Mark Island fog horn, just off shore. Tented walls, swaying pines, wefts of campfire and a super comfy bed await. Deer Isle is an island connected by a bridge.
