The cottage is an old granary and therefore the staircase is slightly steeper than standard and open plan . Enjoy country walks and beautiful views, with Cartmel Racecourse just a short stroll away. Close to charming pubs, artisan shops, and the famous sticky toffee pudding.

Our cosy studio flat is a perfect base for your adventure in the lake district. Located at the southern end of Windermere lake, it has great access to the rest of the Lake District for exploring and only 10 min to Cartmel racecourse. We are close to many great attractions. Ulverston the festival town is just 25 minutes' drive away. There is also a petrol station/shop 20min walk/2min drive. Grange over Sands is a lovely town to visit and have a wander along the promonade over looking the bay.

Bluebell Cottage is located in the grounds of Cark House in the quaint village of Cark in Cartmel with a local village shop and pub. Cartmel with its world renowned Michelin star L’Enclume restaurant, as well as other excellent eating places, is five minutes drive away. Cartmel is also famous for its historic Priory and Horse Race meetings. Holker Hall is only 10 minutes walk away. Cark is an superb base to explore the beautiful South Lakes with Bowness and Coniston being a short drive away.

The rear garden, shared with the main house, has comfortable furniture. The single owner has the main house, though she is often away. Local amenities include a corner shop and a pub.
