The river has heavy tidal flow (no river use from home). The Hoquiam River support runs of Chinook, chum, and coho salmon, steelhead, and sea-run trout. just a couple of miles upriver from Historic Downtown Hoquiam restaurants, stores and shops, 20 min to coast 45 min drive to Lake Quinault hiking trails South Shore Trailhead.

Great diving, fishing, and kayaking, too. Steps from restaurants, gift shops, a local distillery, and coffee shop in Hoodsport.

Welcome to our cozy, comfortable home in the classic small town of Montesano. Close to Aberdeen, Elma, Central Park and McCleary. It's a 30 minute drive to Olympia and 45 minutes to the beach. You'll find restaurants, a supermarket and more in town. Nearby you'll find two state parks. Ocean beaches are an easy drive away, and we're on the Olympic National Park loop. High speed Wifi and Netflix. Free parking. 2 pets allowed for a small one-time fee. Relax in this friendly environment!

The Saltbox was originally built back in 1940, but given a full face lift for its new adventure! Our cottage is dog friendly and located between Ocean Shores and Seabrook, about a 15 minute drive to each. Whether you're looking to enjoy the sound of the ocean from the balcony, a cozy fire down in the pit, game nights with the family, or a quiet space for you and your pups, we hope you'll find it here. Enjoy the peace & serenity of a quiet, non-motorized little lake in the woods in a classic, vintage A-Frame.
