Further north is the unforgettable drive to Applecross, Shieldaig and Torridon.

Truly relax and unwind at this peaceful shoreside accommodation with an ever changing stunning view. Ideally located for gentle strolls from the house to the local beach and to explore this Scottish Site of Scientific Interest. Perfect for twitcher and wildlife enthusiasts, you may even catch a glimpse of an otter and seals! This is also an ideal launch site for your own kayak/canoe/SUP to just paddle around. Garve Cottage is a comfortable and well appointed home with three bedrooms; two with double beds and one with two single beds. Spacious cabin beside the sea

Situated in the township of Braes, only a 15 minute drive from Portree, our cabin 'moonen' overlooks the Sound of Raasay. It sits on the sea side of an old church building, near the shoreline. It is peaceful here and a haven for wildlife. You can sometimes see whales and dolphins from your window and seals and otters on the nearby shore. Roe deer, sea eagles and buzzards are a common sight too. Enjoy beautiful views over to the Island of Raasay from both the bedroom and living area.

I wish i could be there all the time but unfortunately i can't so please enjoy all that the area has to offer. Lochcarron is a beautiful hub in this area with fantastic shops, cafes, restaurants and also within drivable distance to Skye, Plockton, Applecross, Torridon and on the north coast 500 route.

The property is situated in the beautiful village of Lochcarron. Here you are very close to the gorgeous surrounding areas, including Isle of Skye, Plockton, Shieldaig, Torridon, Gairloch and Applecross, going over the famous Bealach Na Ba - all accessible (by car) in 45 minutes or less. As it is also on the North Coast 500 route, this really makes it the perfect place for a relaxing stop... Warning - you may not want to leave!
