Murmur y Coed translates simply to the murmur of trees and sits in a tranquil spot at the end of a private driveway, the closest property to the forest and beach. Llanddwyn Island and beach are one of Wales’ most popular and enchanting spots to visit. It's a lovely walk through the woods to Llanddwyn Beach, you may even see some of the famous red squirrels of Newborough Forest. We are dog friendly and have plenty of outdoor space along with direct access to the Wales Coastal Path.

Experience the ultimate getaway in our off-grid Shepherd's Huts next to Barlwyd Lake. Wake up to breathtaking views of Ffestiniog's mountains, quarries, and valleys. Dating back to 1850, this quaint white-washed Anglesey cottage is close to the beautiful coastline including magical Llanddwyn Island, an area of outstanding natural beauty and Newborough forest. A real hidden gem, Pen y Gamfa is tucked away down a pedestrian pathway. This charming cottage comprises a lounge and bedroom area. An Aga woodburner with Welsh slate surround provides ample heat supplemented by underfloor heating. An eco extension with living roof is a later addition.

It is joined to Ysgubor Fawr (Big Barn) which is also a self contained one bedroom holiday let and is situated on the grounds of Tal y Braich farmhouse. It is set in two acres of grounds with magnificent open views towards the Menai straights and the Snowdonia Mountain range. Ynys Llanddwyn & Newborough forest are a short distance away. We welcome one well behaved dog.

In 2025, the owners decided to embark on a labour of love and give this historic old building a second lease of life as a holiday home. They did this beautifully, combining the best of new and old but always keeping an eye on maintaining the traditional charm of building such as this.
