The Carriage - A first class experience

Step back in time to this restored 1950's Pullman railway carriage, with the added luxury of 21st century amenities. The Carriage is set on tracks where the original line ran through Ullock on the fringe of the Lake District National Park, with the river Marron running below. Relive a unique journey with the addition of being able to step out onto the platform for sunbathing, breakfast or your evening meal then retire to the antique king sized bed with dressing room, ensuite and Eden toiletries.

Little yurt

A beautiful little yurt, sleeps 2, either a double or twin. Set next to a bubbling stream on a working lakeland sheep farm. On the findge of the Wasdale valley on the western side of the lake district. Ideal for a cozy romantic get away or base for exploring the amazing area. The yurt DOESN'T have any electricity in but it does have a lovely little wood burning stove and you have access to a mini kitchen in the utility room a short distance away . Beds are made with linen and throws. Supper cozy

A charming barn converted cottage, located in the peaceful village of Mockerkin, only 2 miles from Loweswater and the old market town of Cockermouth only 5 miles away, ideally situated for easy access to the lakes & fells, yet only 20 minutes drive to the coast and the town of Keswick. An excellent base to explore all that the western lakes have to offer, and with amazing walking & cycling right from the cottage door it makes it the perfect place to make special memories with Family & Friends

Chapel Cottage, Distington on the edge of the Lake District in Cumbria. Built in 1838, originally an outbuilding for a Methodist Chapel which has undergone a full renovation and conversion into a quirky 1 bedroom house which is filled with amazing features and full of character! A modern take on a historic building, keeping some of the original heritage but with a modern contemporary feel! The ideal getaway location for a relaxed break near the lakes, with local amenities. Come and enjoy!

Enjoy wonderful views of the Ennerdale fells, extending to Pillar and Steeple. The spacious, comfortable accommodation forms the main section of a larger semi-detached property. You will have the house to yourselves - we will be far away, but contactable should you have any questions or issues. It's self check-in and check-out. There are many good and varied walks nearby, as well as scenic drives and gastro pubs. You will need to bring groceries with you - breakfast is not supplied.

Our luxury detached Lakeland cottage in the village of Lorton sits in a hidden gem of a valley and is a year round destination . Two beautiful bedrooms one of which can turn into single beds and each with their own bathrooms offers flexibility for both couples and families. We have a well equipped cooks kitchen with Everhot range and a stocked larder. Parking for three cars , EV charger , bike storage , gardens and a BBQ this is a great base to enjoy the magic of our Lakeland valley.

This cosy first floor apartment overlooks a picturesque park, offering a relaxing base from which to explore. Whitehaven boasts some excellent visitor attractions, specialist shops, bars & restaurants which are all within easy walking distance, as is the marina - the official starting point for the C2C cycle tour. Ideally located to explore the beautiful Lake District.

An ideal base for exploring the Western Lake District and Cumbrian Coast. It is surrounded by scenic walks and activities. It is close to St Bees coast to coast walk too. The hut is set in the middle of a family farm, forget about your busy lives and sit back and relax in this peaceful location ideal for a romantic retreat, with views up the Lorton valley ,cozy up into front of the wood burning stove and plan your adventure for the next day. The hut has no electricity but has solar lights, and a separate composting toilet, all bed linen is provide along with wood for the stove. A breakfast hamper will be delivered to your door in the morning

Welcome to Highside a delightful cottage set in a secluded location overlooking the tranquil village of Lorton. Dating back to 1695 (as engraved on the fireplace in the kitchen), the cottage retains many original features but has been sympathetically modernised. The cottage resides within our farm, Terrace Farm with open countryside and panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells and numerous Wainwrights including Melbreak, Whiteside, Low Fell, Hopegillhead to name but a few.
