The Bird's Nest - Cabin by the River

Located on one of the Seven Bends of the Shenandoah River, the Bird’s Nest is a brand new, custom built 800 square foot cabin featuring an open loft with king bed and skylights, steam shower, heated bathroom floor, and gas fireplace. Exterior amenities include a hot tub, gas grill, gas fire pit table, fire pit by the river, and private river access in a peaceful, wooded setting. Kayaks/tubes are available to use to float down the river with the unique ability to park/exit on the hosts’ property.

A perfect family getaway from the city in the heart of Virginia Wine Country, 15 min from Shenandoah National Park, 30 min from Charlottesville. Private cottage on 265 acres with 3 mi. hiking trail, overlooks 2 ponds/playhouse offers complete farm experience. Walk to swimming hole on river, canoe/fish in lake, feed peacocks/ goats, collect fresh eggs. Great sunsets. Fire-pit. A quiet, restful place to stay when you want to be near Shenandoah Nat’l Park, UVA, Charlottesville, Virginia wineries, Monticello, Montpelier, CHO, and other close-by attractions.

Only a few yards from water’s edge. Onsite walking trails with mountain bikes, canoes, and fishing. Family friendly! Pets welcome with additional $50 fee for the first pet, $25 for an additional pet.
