Eco Studio Retreat Maraetotara Valley

Our place is a unique architectural designed passive solar straw bale home, with recycled native wood and natural clay finish. Enjoy the warmth, peaceful feel and views of the beautiful Maraetotara valley and relax in the natural spring water hot tub. The 30 sqm studio is located within the main house, has a separate entrance, private deck and parking with EV charger. Kitchen with toaster, microwave, fridge, induction cooktop and electric BBQ on deck. Breakfast pack for the first 2 days.

The Pavilion

So close to the village, yet set in the countryside there are lambs in Spring and apple trees next door. Eggs are laid by our own chooks, bread, muesli and preserves are homemade. We'll suggest places to visit and restaurants if you want to dine out. Cool off in the pool in summer or take an expertly led yoga class! Take a trip to Hastings or Napier or walk the miles of tracks in Te Mata Park. Ocean Beach is just 15 minutes away and the Sunday Farmers Market just 10!

Luxury Village Villa 2 mins walk to the village

The Village Villa combines old style charm with modern amenities. Put your keys in the drawer and take a 2 minute stroll into the Village with it's fabulous shopping and vibrant cafes. The Villa has been recently renovated and boasts a modern spacious kitchen opening out onto a large sunny deck. Nestled amongst the trees and overlooking the Mangarau Stream, this stand alone studio offers privacy and relaxation after a busy day of exploring Hawkes Bay. With Te Mata Peak on the doorstep and local wineries a must visit, the Little Shoehorn is a perfect place to base yourself whilst exploring the beautiful region.

Country bach plus sleep out with bunk beds ( for additional charge). The property is close to uncrowded sandy beaches - great for swimming, walking, fishing and boating (10 min drive). The beautiful village of Havelock North is 35 min drive away - ideal for relaxing and chilling out away from the city. Stock up with goodies at Blackbarn Farmers' Market on your way out.
