If you can tear yourself away, there are 3 beaches within 5 minutes and world-class golf at nearby Cabot Cliffs. 5 min to Cabot Trail and 30 min. to National Park. Agreement to be signed on booking.

Situated on a hillside overlooking the historic St. Ann’s bay, the Old Trail cabin is conveniently located just 5.5km from the start of the Cabot trail and the Gaelic College. A great spot to start or finish your Cabot Trail adventures! The cabin is designed to feel as open and airy as possible for a small space. The bedroom has a queen bed and the loft has a single bed. Kitchenette has coffee maker, toaster, mini fridge and microwave. All amenities needed are only 15 mins away in Baddeck.

Cabot Trail Wilderness Cabin | The Canopy

The Canopy is the 2nd largest of the 3 wilderness cabins, and closest to the washrooms, nestled among the forest which leads down to the waterfront. All the cabins sleep two people, with a personal fire pit, bbq, kitchenette, drinking water (although no running water), and all the amenities needed to spend a few nights in nature. The shared outdoor bathroom has been hand crafted with lots of natural light, a composting toilet (i.e. non-flushing), hot water shower and two sinks.

The 540 square foot studio style cottage features a fully supplied kitchen, queen-size bed, living room with a sofa, dining area, bathroom and a large patio with a private hot tub along with a BBQ and fire pit. During your stay you will be able to enjoy an incredible view overlooking the gorgeous Bras d'Or Lake and the mountains in the distance from the floor to ceiling windows. This is the perfect spot to simply relax yet have all the possibilities to adventure close by.

Relax with the whole family at this secluded cottage nestled on the shore of Donahue Lake, with no neighbours in sight. You can wake to the beautiful sunrise, have your coffee on the deck listening to the loons wake up before getting ready to work remotely with our Starlink Internet, or enjoy an early morning kayak. Relax in the hot tub looking out at the lake or on the deck with a glass of wine by the propane fire in the evening. This cottage is sure to soothe your soul.

Welcome to our beautiful cabin located on hwy 4 only 13 min from Sydney River, 5min from the ski hill and benion marina, 1 min from the country market where you can get anything needed including a ice cream sore in summer and small liquor store. If you’re joining us in the summer we are only 1.5min from east bay sand bar an amazing beach and 3min from the walking trails:) complete with fire pit and large back deck.
