There is no beach access from the property but we're just a short walk to the Alders Beach which offers long stretches of sand for walking, swimming and exploring tidal pools. Nordic/snowshoe/hiking trails are a short 5-min drive. Enjoy the parkade with option to trickle charge your EV or the private BBQ on the deck; store your gear in the secure storage room while you plan your evening visit to the hot tub or a movie to watch on the flat screen with surround sound - Bear Paws has it all!

Ski-in/Ski-out top floor slope side facing studio flat centrally located in coveted Bear Lodge. Watch the Skiers and Snowboarders cruise past through your suite window as this studio is a true slope side suite. It is well suited for a maximum of 2 people as it is fitted with a new and comfortable Queen bed. Enjoy the comforts and amenities that the suite offers such as TV, Keurig coffee machine, mini fridge and WiFi. NOTE that no window covers are in place, bring your eye masks for sleeping.

Located just outside Courtenay, BC in the beautiful Comox Valley. You have access to world-class nature all year round. From skiing, boarding, snowshoeing and tubing in the winter to mountain biking, hiking, lake days, beach days, and wine tours in the summer. Just 9 km from downtown Courtenay, you're close to coffee shops, craft breweries and local boutiques. You are only a 20 minute drive to Mt. Washington ski/bike resort and ten minutes to the Vancouver Island Music Festival site.

Welcome to our cozy suite with beautiful views of Quadra Island and the coastal mountains. Located centrally in Campbell River, we are the perfect launching spot for all of your adventures. Please note that the suite is in the lower part of our house and is only accessible by a steep set of stairs. We ask that you restrict your noise between the hours of 10pm and 7am. Filled with artwork depicting the outstanding natural BC environment surrounds you, and can be discovered close by. Within a few minutes drive, you can be on the beach, immersed in the forest, on your way to the ski hill of Mt Washington, swimming in Comox Lake, or dipping at Nymph Falls . Good food, shopping and local arts await you. This is a great base for relaxing or outdoor adventures.

The walk-on beach is lovely, the view is breathtaking, from summer heat to winter storms, it is peaceful, serene and some days the sound of the surf, eagles and herons are all you hear. There are many excursions close by including mountain biking, skiing, fishing, boating and hiking. The Valley is nature personified and Kye Bay is a jewel - the breath of sea air in the morning is worth the visit for sure!

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway with incredible ocean views, nestled right on the shore at Bates Beach. Wake up to the sounds of the waves and enjoy the sunsets and sea lions from your private balcony. It’s the perfect spot for a sunrise or sunset dip! We also have an outdoor picnic table where you can enjoy your meals, and a fire pit. Please note: our unit is accessible via one flight of stairs.
