Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

Hadrian's Wall, Hexham market town, country walks, cycle routes and village pubs all a stones throw from the doorstep. The Michelin Star restaurant,Pines is 10 mins away. We supply shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap. We supply a continental breakfast. A full English breakfast could be supplied in you require. Free pick up after 5pm from Steel Rigg and free drop off before 9am. Dog friendly too. Small airfryer, small freezer and fridge.

Believed to have been constructed in the latter half of the 16th Century, during the reign of Queen Elizabeth 1 and the time of the Spanish Armada, Bastle House is a Grade II Listed Building. Built as a stonghouse to protect against raids by Border Reivers, the property has been lovingly renovated into a unique and cosy one-bedroom bolthole.

The Snug a self contained studio flat with it's own access separate from the main house It has a living/sleeping area, kitchen/dining area and shower room. The Kitchen is fully equipped with fridge freezer, oven, kettle etc, and all of the kitchenware you will need during your stay. The Bedroom can sleep up to 2 adults.
