This sweet and simple 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath 1900's farmhouse in Accord, NY is near several organic farms and close to both amazing outdoor activities and quaint little hamlets to explore (Stone Ridge, High Falls, Rosendale). In addition to the house, we have a barn that we love - with a pool table, wood burning stove and an arts and crafts/play room for the kids. Enjoy the fire pit and creek on the property as well.
Nestled amongst organic farms in quiet Accord, New York, this 1900's farmhouse is the perfect place to decompress while planning day excursions to the many wonderful nearby attractions within a short drive. If you're coming from the hustle of the city, you'll marvel at the quiet, the fresh air, the fact that you can see the stars, and the plain feeling of comfortable simplicity.
The farmhouse has three bedrooms and 1.5 baths. On the first floor, there is a living room, dining room, and kitchen. The kitchen has what you need to cook including the staples like spices and olive oil, etc. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and a full bath. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed, the middle room has a full, and the small bedroom has a twin. The house is decorated simply and practically - everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable place to rest and eat and explore! There is wifi and cell phones receive service out here!
Basics like fresh linens, towels, and hair dryer provided. Closet space and empty dressers yield space to hang your hat for awhile.
The gem of this property is the big red barn, set up as a recreation space with a pool table room, a living room with wood burning stove, and a children's play/craft room - perfect for long spring, summer, and fall nights with dinner outside and a bonfire.
An easy two hour commute from NYC, and close to the Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska State Park, the area is filled with both hiking, biking, and swimming for nature lovers. High Falls, Rosendale, Stoneridge, and New Paltz are nearby for quaint, village shopping and dining. Explore the areas antique shops, local farms, and restaurants!

Your deposit is fully refundable after your departure, provided the following provisions are met.
•No damage is done to the house or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.
•The house is returned in the same state as found upon arrival
The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that any improper material has been flushed and clogs the septic system, you could be charged for the plumbing services needed.
This is a special house, please be gentle with it - most things here are special to us, some vintage. We do not wear shoes in the house and encourage you to do the same :)
Please contact us regarding any parties, events or photo shoots . Those will have to be negotiated separately and agreed to in writing.
No smoking in the house. Smoking is ok outside as long as cigarette butts are not left on the property grounds.
Do not leave trash outside. We do not want the friendly, wild animals coming too close!
No fires except in designated areas (Wood Stoves and Fire Pit)
Small house-trained dogs are welcome. Please reach out to us for bigger dogs. Absolutely no cats as we have allergies.
No drinks on the pool table.
