A great place to walk around, fruit trees and the smells of jasmine line the characterful streets porch swing and unicycles are commonplace, feels like a step back in time, yet very progressive, the first city to ban polystyrene for example! Very green with bookshops a plenty , vintage shops and street food stalls with every kind of cuisine you can imagine, the bustley Hawthorne street and Clinton street are a stones throw away and Laurelhurst park is great year round and in the summer boasts free concerts and films. A fabulous pottery studio is across the street where you can purchase wonderful treasures.
