Come experience the wonderful world of the honeybee where we encourage you to take pictures. We begin our 1 1/2 hour experience near Tampa, Florida. I have several different locations to choose from ranging from Farm to urban areas. The address showing will not be the place that you will have your experience. After you book I will send out the location. It will be either Lutz, Odessa, or S. Saint Petersburg. If you book first, I can be flexible as to location. We will begin with a demonstration of the equipment used in beekeeping as well as dressing up in our full bee suits and then immediately start the hands-on experience. At this point you will be able to see, feel, hear and touch apis mellifera (the European honey bee!) as I guide you to a better understanding of these amazing creatures. During our time together you will manipulate equipment, ask questions and get a practical appreciation of the bees. After, you will enjoy a refreshment while we discuss your recent experiences. Upon completion, we provide a 5 oz honey jar and honey dipper to say thank you for being a beekeper for a day! Things to note: PLEASE BRING BOOTS or Tennis shoes. There is always a chance of getting stung, So if you are allergic to bees please choose a different experience. We want you to come away feeling alive and in tune with the natural world. You will be wearing a full bee suit.

Your 1.5+ hour interactive nature experience with the bees begins with a multimedia overview of the life of a bee. You’ll see a hive and learn how to hold a frame (without squishing the bees -they don’t like that). We’ll get suited up. Light a smoker. Do a safety check, and approach the hive. At the hive you’ll see and feel the power of propolis (a supplement for humans as well) -- its the glue bees use to seal up the hive. We’ll lift the lid and go inside. For some, that’s might be as far as they want to go. But, if you’re adventurous, we will do a complete hive inspection: Pull frames to see how the bees create honey and keep the colony alive. You’ll see open “wet cells” of nectar that are still in the process of transforming into honey. You’ll see capped honey, tiny freshly laid eggs and all the stages of bee development ( larvae, caped brood, and newly emerging “baby bees”). I’ll show you how beekeepers help control pests (other insects and diseases) and keep the bees healthy so they can do their important work. You’ll hold frames of bees and feel the weight of a full frame of honey when compared to a frame of bees. There’s always time for selfies. You’ll sample honey & enjoy a cold beverage sweetened with honey. This is Ecco tourism with some of mother nature’s most important workers.

Paint/ Photoshoot;an introduction to the Artist, a brief history of murals, importance of public art, examples of works in Miami. (No Artistic talent is necessary.) -Introduction to materials, brushes, spray paint, rollers, drop cloths, latex paint, tape and palettes. -Then an explanation of the process and meaning of 'underpainting" as the first step of creating a community mural. A community mural involves groups of people creating together, I will show you the tasks and different sections of the mural. Each participant will be encouraged and given instruction on all facets of the mural. A group photo and progress shots will be taken during the mural process. -How to create a wash, painting with water to make the next stage after underpainting possible is my signature style. -Using different brushes to make different lines as well as the "dry brush" technique for shading on some realistic images will be explored by all in attendance. Then the best way for everyone to enjoy their time is to learn by doing! Set up and introduction is 15 minutes, The actual painting is one hour and the post/photoshoot is 15 minutes. The Final stage of details and photoshoot with your work to always remember the experience. Creating a permanent mural in the mural capital of the world "Wynwood" on a highly visible intersection will culminate in a group unveiling as we say "Artworld!!!! We will then drop anchor in a little bay close to some of the most expensive houses in Miami, allowing our sailors to swim in the shallow, crystal clear waters of Miami Bay if they wish, and then return to the original meeting point enjoying the air and views from the yacht while sunbathing on the bow of the boat or relaxing with your friends over a few beers as you are allowed to bring your own drinks and snacks on board. You will have a great time with us, you will make new friends and you might have the chance to see dolphins that love to swim alongside the boats. As your dedicated guide, I will be there personally to greet you then we will traverse over dunes (.7 miles) completely emersed in nature where you have access to your own private beach. To enhance your experience, I will provide you with your drink of choice (alcoholic beverages within reason per request), a light snack, water, and a simple picnic setup. While I am more than happy to engage in conversation about ecology and life on the Gulf Coast, I will intuitively recognize if you prefer some privacy. Keep your eyes peeled for the wildlife that inhabits this remarkable ecosystem like crab emerging from their hole, osprey, stingray, and maybe catch a glimpse of playful dolphins. Once we have indulged in the beauty of our surroundings (2 hours total), we will retrace our steps back to the parking lot.

Part of my tour service is taking nice photos (a mini session (3 locations 5 photos each)) of you and/or those that may accompany you. You must pay your own way into Fort Pickens. The current cost per car is $25, if you have an NPS annual pass it's free (this is $80 a year (over 62=free you must apply in advance)). Drive west past the booth to Langdon Pavilion (Langdon Beach), where you'll meet your guide. Get ready for your perfect day of fun immersed nature. 2-5 people = 25% off 6-10 people = 30% off Off we go on the trail head (toward the sound side) to enjoy each others company and learn the history of Fort Pickens. We will traverse (West) on sandy trails beneath the pines and take in the fresh air, where we can enjoy views of the water. We may see various birds like osprey or an eagle. You may also receive information and advice about Pensacola from your guide. I will lay out a picnic tablecloth (and provide water and a light snack) and we'll enjoy a view by the water and/or surroundings. After we've explored enough we will head back to the parking lot. This is where our tour concludes. After you can see the rest of the Fort by vehicle or bike if you like. If you don't see a specific date available just message me. Hike is 3.1 miles there and back (5k).

Rock Springs is one of a kind. This turquoise water winds through a thick habitat full of deer, otters, alligators, and turtles. It is a must see. My family and I have been guiding Kayakers on this river since 2008. After we've gone over the basics and are in the water we'll head upstream into the forest. The jungle will begin to close in around us as we paddle through tight tunnels of trees and bush, over logs and white sandy banks. We can stop to swim anywhere at anytime. Once we hit the dead end bridge of Kelly Park we'll take it easy and float back down the crystal waters. There are trees to jump from, fish to snorkel with, and a whole other section of river to explore before heading back to the boat ramp.
