This is the best Italian Restaurant in Hamilton. No competition. I worked here for several years when I was in university, so I can tell you first hand how clean the kitchen is and the love and care the chefs put into the food. The head chef, Mauro was trained in Italy and opened the restaurant in the 80's when he came to Canada, and still works almost every night serving up traditional dishes that have stood the test of time. When Mike and I have a date night, this is usually the place we go.

I worked here for several years when I was in university, so I can tell you first hand how clean the kitchen is and the love and care the chefs put into the food. The head chef, Mauro was trained in Italy and opened the restaurant in the 80's when he came to Canada, and still works almost every night serving up traditional dishes that have stood the test of time. When Mike and I have a date night, this is usually the place we go.
Best outdoor patio in the city!
Locally sourced food with a menu that changes seasonally.
Excellent brunch on the weekends.

This park has an old tug boat that has been transformed into a playground. Fun for kids and adults alike. Also has a splash pad and spectacular views of the Hamilton Bay.

Go for a walk along the arts district of James St N, wander into some boutique shops, restaurants and cafes along the way. Going south along James Street with lead you to the downtown core which includes the Farmer's Market, central library and other interesting places

Gorgeous views of the bay, an ice cream parlour, William's Cafe, an outdoor skating rink (roller skating in the spring, summer and fall and ice skating in winter), a boat tour of the bay and a trolley ride along the Waterfront Trail.

There are several gardens within the RBG. You can get a day pass and see them all. My favourite garden is the Rock Garden. It is one of the most calm and serene places in the whole city. Only a 5 min drive from the house and you transported to place with incredible beauty and serenity.

It is one of the most calm and serene places in the whole city. Only a 5 min drive from the house and you transported to place with incredible beauty and serenity.

Make sure to catch the elephant swim time!
