Great dog friendly hiking and mountain biking in Millcreek Canyon. DOgs are allowed off leash on odd days and mountain biking is allowed on even days. There is a $3 fee when you leave the canyon but it's well worth it. Try Grandeur peak for a moderately strenuous hike with gorgeous views of the city. Dog Lake is a good one with a lake at the end for your dog to swim in.

An absolut bear of a hike as you gain 4000ft in less than 4 miles but if you're up for the rocky scramble at the end it's totally worth it! Even if you don't get up to the summit, you experience great views the whole way up.

Food scene
By far the best sushi in town and at a very reasonable price. The fish is always fresh and the menu is always original. Drinks are fantastic too. There's always a line but the wait is never as long as they tell you it will be. Also while you're waiting try The Post Office Place next door for drinks and appetizers. It was opened by Takashi not too long ago for a place that people could go and hang out while they're waiting for their table at Takashi but if you like small plates, this is a great option to stop in and have dinner at.
