Quayside fast food kiosk with al fresco tables making burgers, hot dogs & mugs of tea since 1978. Been visiting this place since it opened.... it’s part of Plymouth’s history. A must visit... have a mug of coffee at least

This a nice park about 15/20 min walk from the flat. Nice views of The Plym.... lovely old boat still there rotting.

This is near Plymstock. It’s a bit of a walk from the flat but nice for a stroll in the sun. There is a nice cafe called the Mess Room.
Oreston
This is near Plymstock. It’s a bit of a walk from the flat but nice for a stroll in the sun. There is a nice cafe called the Mess Room.
Take a short boat ride to the Barbican. Leave the car in the Mountbatten Pub free car park (past Oreston). Only 5-10 min car ride from the flat. Catch the Mountbattern Ferry to the Barbican. Runs every 30 mins on the hour and half past weather permitting. Take a stroll down the pier watch people fish. Small beach there and a nice pub.

One for everyone. Close to the town ... close to the Barbican. Everyone should make a visit to Town, The Barbican and the Hoe. Nice coffee shops, nice pubs and places to eat. Visit Captain Jasper . Park in town, walk up to the Hoe, walk down to the Barbican and back to Town for a circular walk.

There are a couple of Markets here,.. a lovely market town about 20 mins drive out of Plymouth ... visit here and then carry on to the moors ... head for PrinceTown.. see the prison, go to the museum and have a lovely afternoon tea there.... there’s even a new whiskey distillery.

This is a great alternative to the beach. You will find families picnicking around Cadover Bridge .. they jump and swim in the cool, clean water. Take a picnic and park up near the river

Burrator Reservoir. ... close to PrinceTown. - worth a visit. There is a car park...and you can get an ice cream there... really Cornish one...

A very popular tourist attraction. Very pretty place. Go early so you can park. One of my faves. Prob a good hour away.... I call it little Knightsbridge... posh town

Def worth a visit. Take the train from the town to see Agatha Christie’s house. Gorgeous place. We visit on way to the flat. About an hour and a bit drive

Not easy to get to... a bit of a walk and only open Wed and Sunday I believe. Blue velvet was filmed here... great for rockpooling ... I love this beach if going for the day. No loos or cafes here

This is Bigbury Island where lots of filming happens. I call it Art Deco island... take a tractor over to the pub when the water is out.

Barbican, The Hoe and Town
There is an Aquarium, boat trips, lots of cafes, places to eat. Quayside.....from the Barbican head up the hill to the Hoe, where this is an open side swimming pool, beaches and rock pools. Great place for hanging with friends..lovely walk and visit the light house. A must. Close also to the Town....

If you visit the other side of Plymouth - The moors - takein
Tavistoc, Prince Town, Burrator Reaervoir - pass through more stop off at Cadover Bridge (on the moors near Yelverton). There is also a National Trust house on the moors

If don’t go to the beach ....visit alone and Polperro. There are so many lovely days out in Cornwall...
