This is another local's hidden gem, so keep it quiet. Dog friendly and stunning in every way. Park on road near church and walk past church on coast path and down onto the beach. Go left and along to the sea which is safe for swimming; avoid swimming in the estuary as it can have strong currents. Lifeguards start there after July 10th. Perfect for dogs. You can walk to St Ives from here on the coast path, it takes about an hour.

Food scene

On the highest most ancient spot in Cornwall called Carn Brea is a restaurant which is in a very unusual location. The Jordanian host Mr. Sawalha and his family treat you to an evening of tasty middle eastern food and music where the sounds of the Levant echo through these granite walls and after the chef serenades you and plays on the traditional Tavla (a drum). An evening you wont soon forget. (15 mins away)
