Angela and Shane’s favorite restaurants for date night.
Here is a list of the places we enjoy to go eat at all year around. Shane is pescatarian so a lot of seafood and vegetarian selections.
This place is the best in town and lucky you it is only a walk from your cabin! Literally it is right next to your cabin. It is family owned and their food is made from scratch every day. If you are looking for comfort Italian food this is your place. Liz loves to fill up your wine glass all the way to the very top don’t say I didn’t warn you! If you see farm animals around the restaurant I promise it is normal. The cats are very friendly and so is the chicken.

Perfect breakfast for a day of hiking This family owned breakfast restaurant has its own maple house that you can take a tour in and the smell of maple while it’s in the making. You want to get drunk but go to bed early this is your place. This place is walking distance from your cabin or a 2 minute drive. I am not going to lie I have only been here maybe 2-3 times to eat their wings and to have a couple of basic cocktails. This place is cash only but they have an ATM in the building in case you did not bring any cash with you.

Big Slide Mountain
This a different way up the Mount Colden via the Trap Dike. This is a mountaineering route up the 4715-foot Adirondack High peek and a 12.9 mile loop. You don't need climbing gear to hike up the mountain but a helmet is recommend. Not recommend in the winter it is a very steep way up. I believe dogs are allowed but I highly advise not to bring a dog. Even our avid hiker dog does not get to go to Trap Dike!
