One of the closest Maine beach towns (two beaches short and long sands). Cute shops, good food. Nubble Light house is a good stop as well. About an hour.

Get there early for parking and be careful not to park on the streets where its marked off, they are strict about it here! But this is a great big wide open beach, you can also take surf lessons or rent a board from the shop across the street!

Closest (ocean) beach to us about 45-50 minutes. Tends to be more crowed but just walk / or drive further down. There is street and lot parking. There is also rides and a small boardwalk with food and shops.
