A fishing harbour which has a real buzz to it. Lots of quality eateries and bars. If you like storm watching, the waves which break near the clock tower are impressive- just be careful not to get too close!

Charming historic house and lovely gardens. Family friendly activities are often organised in school holidays, but if you like a bit of a walk then the route to Godolphin Hill rewards you with views of both coastlines

This dramatic landscape developed when a shingle bank formed across the entrance to the Cober river, creating a lagoon and transforming the port of Helston into an inland town.
You can walk to Loe Bar from Helston along an easy , mostly surfaced track. Park in the car park next to Flora Motors and if you need refreshments at the start or end of your walk there’s a cafe in the park, by the boating lakes.
