Vehicles that are not of Euro6 standard may be charged due to Clean Air Zone in operation. You can check on the vehicle checker (www.gov.uk/clean-air-zones) whether your vehicle will be charged.
In my experience it is better to take public transport - it is much easier and cheaper to move around in town. Shopping, eating tourist attractions, outside spaces are all in walking distance.
