Great coffee and nice little sun trap at the right time of day (not late afternoon). They also do a great salad at lunchtime and excellent food in the evenings on Thursday - Saturday. Definitely worth booking for that, otherwise you can always pop in for a coffee and cake during the day.

Located in Peckham Rye (easy to get to by bus - the 343 drops you almost right outside, and the 484 close by). Amazing Vietnamese food, and they do vegan only food on Monday evenings - don’t let that put you off if you’re not vegan, it’s still delicious!

Excellent Indian food, it was featured in the Zagar guide as one of the best Indians in London. It’s not super cheap like some, but it never disappoints so good for a special occasions. They do great Indian themed cocktails too!

Lovely local pub that also serves very good food. Worth a visit for a pint if you want to stay local one evening.

Another great local pub with a pool table and an open fire in the winter. A Thai family help run in and serve excellent Thai food in the pub, and they have outdoor seating both out front and out back.

They don’t serve food but there isn’t anything they don’t know about beer. Great little informal local hang out, serving a huge range of every kind of beer you can imagine. They also often host poetry, comedy and live music events so that’s worth checking out.

Probably my favourite local eatery, really good food and super friendly staff. Make sure you book (same day bookings usually fine) as it can get busy, even on week nights. If you’re not a veggie the Bavette steak is legendary!
