Lots of history at City of Refuge. Great picnic area at back of park with plenty of large tide pools. Only swimming allowed is in tide pools. Grab some takeout and watch sunset from picnic area.

Take a 2 mile hike down to monument and go snorkeling with lots of fish, dolphin and whales in Kealakekua Bay. Its a rigorous steep climb back up. Bring plenty of water.
