Opens everyday 8am-2am. (1min walk) Just walking out on the Street and to the left, you will cross the “Plaza de los Carros” and the first bar on the left is La Muralla. It’s a typical Spanish very simple restaurant/tapas bar, no stylish at all but its very nice for breakfast at the street terrace (never inside). I would say it’s nice for breakfast: natural orange juice and coffee is good and would recommend ordering a baguette toast with tomato “pan tomaca”. You have also “churros” which is typical Madrid fried pastery.

It is known as part of the "Golden Triangle of Art", which also includes the Prado and the Reina Sofia. It fills the historical gaps in its counterparts collections. With over 1,600 paintings, it was once the second largest private collection in the world after the British Royal Collection. Closed Mondays. Tuesday to Sunday: 10am-7pm Saturday: 10am-9pm
www.mecd.gob.es/msorolla/en. Opens Tue-Sat: 9.30am-8pm. Sun&hol: 10am-3pm. Closed Mondays. It occupies what was the artist's family home from 1911. The collections are displayed in all areas of the home open to the public, and the house has been preserved almost intact with the decoration it had during the artist’s lifetime. The collection of paintings stands alongside the furniture and objects originally in the home. This is one of the best preserved artist’s homes in the whole of Europe. The positioning of the paintings normally on display may vary from hall to hall because the Sorolla Museum organises its own temporary exhibitions and also lends pieces for other exhibitions.

Parks & Nature
(12 min walk) Classical-style gardens created in 1930’s on the site of the stables built by Sabatini. Their construction began during the 2nd Republic and completed after the Civil War. Their architectural and ornamental styling as an extension of the Royal Palace were enhanced on account of the exhibition of several sculptures that were originally planned to decorate the cornice of the palace. Their geometric design and fortunate location make them some of the most beautiful gardens in Madrid de los Asturias. Although they look spectacular at any time of the day, at dusk they are truly magnificent, as it is one of the best sites in Madrid from which to watch the sunset.

SERRANO STREET is one of the trendiest and most expensive neighborhoods of Madrid, where you will find luxurious shops located in what were once small palaces. Noted for their striking interior design, many are decorated with shimmering chandeliers and high ceilings. If you have a smaller bank account, you should not be intimidated as this area also has many high street brands, Madrid’s biggest Zara with 3 floors dedicated to women’s wear, as well as separate sections for men and children
