Unawatuna is a large bay filled with beach restaurants and bars- great for the evening. Hot Rock does excellent Rice & Curry whilst Hideout is great for Taco Tuesdays

8mins on a scooter from the villa. Lovely small and secluded beach with buzzing bar/restaurant that does good food and good cocktails. You can swim with turtles in the lagoon here.

Fun, buzzing town on the coast road about 20mins from the villa. Good surfing spots, restaurants and bars. Also Trax nightclub is fun for a Friday night out!

TukTuks

As a general rule Tuktuks are the cheapest and easiest way to do any journey up to 30mins in distance. Pricing wise you should look to pay 100 rupees per minute, so for instance a 10 minute journey would be 1,000 rupees - this is a fair tourist price and one you should easily be able to negotiate.
