Twin Lakes Park

This is every bit worthy of a 10-minute drive! Paved trails around two lakes, open year round. There is also a dog park here. Kayaks, canoes and paddleboats in summer. So delightful! This is one of my treasures for our city. it's also near lots of food places, Barnes & Noble, Westmoreland Mall, so you can attach other stuff to your venture.

The Westmoreland Museum of American Art

This is a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute drive away. It's really a spectacular museum, quality far beyond what you's expect in a small city. And it's not too big, so you won't get bored. :-)

Historic Hanna's Town

This 18th Century Replica Village is a sweet find. They have really fun reenactments in summer, mostly volunteers so not too stuffy. And miles of trails through beautiful Western Pa woodlands. It's about a half hour drive, give or take.

I love the breakfasts here! This is a coffee shop with real good food, inexpensive too! It's not diner food, it's a step up at diner prices. They have an Art Gallery, too. Check it out! Breakfast and Lunch are Served Monday Through Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm and Saturday 8:00am - 2:00pm. Thursday and Friday Evenings, A Dinner Menu is offered.
