One of the few beautiful painted churches. Well worth the drive. About an hour country roads drive . You go through Flatonia which is a railroad town and if you want to eat here I recommend the Bistro on Main Street. There is a railroad museum in Flatonia also.

Just 2 miles away and great burgers on Saturday night starting at 6pm. Phone 512-304-5860 just to make sure they are not having a private event. This hall was in the movie Hope Floats and live music starts at 9pm most Saturdays.
