Great breakfast, lunches and dinners served in the historic hotel. Sometimes reservations are needed, but depending on the time of year, usually okay to get into! Sunday's they also have a delicious brunch . You can also enjoy a drink on the patio if you wish to sit back and relax!
If you go, be sure to try the spoonbread (with butter and honey if you're unsure) a traditional southern dish!

Parks & Nature
Beautiful trails, only 5-10 minutes from the house. We enjoy hiking many of the trails, and there is even one trail, Kelly's trail, that is named after my husband. This trail is a more strenuous hike, but beautiful! There is a sign posted near buzzards roost. There is also a paved walking/bike path, about a mile long located off of the parking lot. It is fairly shady and while near the road, it still feels like you are in the woods.

Indian Fort Mountain Trails at the Pinnacles

Located in Richmond, but only 20-25 minutes from the house if you take Highway 421. We like to do our grocery shopping here if we can. You can also buy alcohol here and you can't in Berea!

Liquor store about 10-15 minutes from the house (closer than Kroger). While you can buy beer and wine at some restaurants in Berea, you can't buy it in the stores, so if you don't bring your own, we often make trips up to Monty's if we need anything.
