Restaurants
The Jalon valley and the surrounding areas, including Calpe, Moraira, Benissa, Denia and Javea have lots to offer both in terms of quality and quantity of restaurants. There are also a good choice of takeaway style venues nearby if you would rather eat at home.
Great pizzas, great atmosphere. Choose to eat there, or ask for them to take away.

Good food and venue which is always very popular.
Great restaurant in the heart of Alcalali, one of our favourites. Good menu and great food. Reserve your table outside in the summer (especially if live music or a festival is on) to avoid disappointment and sit outside the church in the main village square. The interior is ideal for a cosy night during the winter too. From a full dinner to a few beers and a pizza, it's well worth a visit.

Our favourite Indian restaurant that also delivers!! Just in the next village of Orba next to the petrol station as you come down the hillside into the village.

A very beautiful location in the mountains nearby to the Jalon Valley.
Sometimes a little busy during the summer, the group of natural water pools, were once the location for a Timotei advert.
You can swim and explore all day, for a small fee.

Great place to visit with younger children, dino-themed entertainment up in the mountains. Don't forget to take their swimming clothes too as there's also a Jurassic pool for them to splash about in. Our kids, 3 and 6 years old really enjoy it there.

Villages and towns to visit
The Jalon valley is perfect for those seeking a quieter location, with lots of outdoor pursuits to enjoy. However one of the draws of this area is that it's also so close to so many other lovely places on the Costa Blanca. These villages and towns nearby all have something to offer.
Whilst you might have driven through Benissa on your way to Parcent, there is more to it than the main road with the array of supermarkets, including the Overseas Store for all those UK goodies.
The old part of Benissa around the church towards the centre is typical Spanish architecture and has a great play park, some great cafes and an ice cream parlour that is worth the trip alone!
Benissa also stretched down to the coast, with some great views of the Mediterranean.

Probably the nearest larger coastal town. With two long sandy beaches, hotels and all the amenities and attractions, you would expect.

Offseason it is a lot quieter and more peaceful.
