If you want to go shopping or have some delicious food, Queensgate shopping mall is the biggest shopping mall in Wellington. And it is quite close to our place (20mins walking, 12mins by bus or 3mins driving ). There are free parks in the shopping mall.

Park
Great place for relaxing. Lots of activities. Pay for paddle boats or mini golf. OR have some free entertainment. Excellent playground for kids as well as adults.

Sightseeing
This is not for the weak or unfit, you have been warned. Takes about 30 minutes to get to the top and the view is spectacular, quite a reward. You need to be very careful coming back down due to it being so steep, combined with loose rock. If you love a workout and a challenge this is a must do.

Te Whiti Riser
Riverside DriveThis is not for the weak or unfit, you have been warned. Takes about 30 minutes to get to the top and the view is spectacular, quite a reward. You need to be very careful coming back down due to it being so steep, combined with loose rock. If you love a workout and a challenge this is a must do.

Percy Scenic Reserve

Lovely park and great bush walk up to the Eastern Hills Ridge (about 45 minutes). Fabulous views of the Hutt Valley and Wellington Harbour at the top
