Thanks to the city government, the house was saved and restored and turned into a museum, though! There’s a ton of history in the gorgeous home, and its grounds are absolutely beautiful. We recommend taking a docent-guided tour in order to learn the full story of this lovely piece of historical architecture.

The trail extends from Shoreline Park, where it connects to the Bay Trail, all the way to the corner of Dale Avenue and Heatherstone Way. It runs through town, through tidal marshlands, all along Stevens Creek, a natural creek that’s been saved from city overhaul and sprawl. The closest access point from here is the Middlefield Entrance, just a couple of blocks southwest on Middlefield Rd.
