Templo Nanzen-ji

Chionin temple is the head temple of Jodo sect of the Buddhism. It's quite large and it has nice garden in it.
People usually go to only Yasaka shrine, which is just before Chionin, but Chionin is better. Before you enter the temple, you'll see huge gate. It shows that the temple is the symbol of Kyoto.
