There's a bunch of starbucks around so no comment here. My favorite drip coffee place is Jubilee Coffee and Roasters about 5 minutes from here. The shop owner Sekine-san is shy but a great barista!

This Kyoto style cuisine 2 minutes from the apartment is perfect if you want an authentic Japanese course without a massive invoice. They serve excellent food and sake.

This place is just in front of the apartment, is likely the best Udon in town. Go out the main entrance and go 30 feet to your right. The owner Yamasaki-san is a former nationwide famous comedian

This quiet restaurant is tucked away in a residential area only 2 minutes from the apartment. Price is reasonable (~5000 yen plus with sake ) and atmosphere is clean, spartan and local.

This is my #1 rec for sushi in the area. Omakase (pre-fix menu) is a great way to taste seasonal fish, and the counter is really close to the chef, and the place is super small only seating about 8.

One of the offshoots of Tokyo’s best italian restaurants, this place serves excellent Italian and for a pretty hefty price. 6 minutes from the apartment, in direction of Jubilee coffee.

The station building is a great for shopping groceries. Go to the basement floor for the best fish/meat/produce. The fish is esp fresh here so try some sashimi. There's a Muji and Uniqlo as well.

This underground 10 seater bar is my secret place if I want a fabulous drink in a personal, soothing space. Its not a standing bar or a social place---its a sit down bar that you go with a friend or by yourself to enjoy some of the best coctails in town. Sure there are more luxurious bars with better views in Tokyo---but this is where I go when I just want the best drink in Meguro. It does have smokers (as anywhere else in Tokyo) so be aware.
