Although Morningside Heights is consistently named one of the safest precincts in New York City. It's home to some massive cathedrals and Columbia University.

This is the home of New York nightlife. It's got all the best bars, and all the best late-night food, and all character and all the history. Highly recommended for younger guests who want to see what New York's legendary nightlife is about.

Food scene
There are a lot of 2Bros pizzerias all over New York. If you want my advice for the New Yorkiest New York Slice, go to a 2bros. It's not the best pizza in the world, but It is the fastest food in the most impatient city in the world. You might not think a $1 goes very far in Manhattan, but 2bros will serve you a slice fresh out of the oven, made from scratch in house, within all of a few seconds of you passing the cashier a dollar.

2 Bros Pizza

Want cheap eats in New York? Your options are basically pizza and the food carts that dot the city's sidewalks. To be honest, the $5 chicken over rice you get from the cart operator will probably be better than most restaurant food.
Stay away from Halal Guys the chain though. They used to be good a long time ago. These days they're actually one of the worst tourist traps. Any random cart on the street will have a better combo over rice.

It's the best pastrami i've ever had. I've had a lot of pastrami. This is the real deal. It's overpriced as hell, but everyone should know what pastrami is actually supposed to be.

If you like meat, you should try to hit up Peter Luger's at least once in your life.
