To walk there from the house:
Walk East on Cesar Chavez (left if your looking at the street!)
When you get to Comal, take a right across the street
Keep walking til you hit the lake and you’ll be on the trail!
This walk is .6 miles and if you plan to go to Rainey or DT during the day, a much nicer view!
