Sightseeing
a beautiful area filled with walks and sunny beaches, loads of flat grass to play on also. We go here a lot for large family gatherings, we spend the day under the trees with a picnic.

Matakana is just a tip of the iceberg for this region in term of beautiful places to visit, they hold a beautiful market I recommend visiting and have some unique bespoke little cinemas. Its an hour drive from here so make a day trip of it

If you new to Auckland go to North head and do the walk around the headland for some historic education about our involvement in the Great World Wars. You can also catch a ferry across to CBD for a wonder through the viaduct

This is our closes Food store, its got all the essentials. For a big shop I would recommend either the New World in Orewa or the Pac n Sav in Silverdale
