locally owned, very eclectic menu, woodfire pizza, chicken and waffles, great desserts. All locations are great. Downtown can be tricky with parking depending on the time of day.

Eat and Sightsee. Track Kitchen at Keenland. Visit Keeneland anytime. Early morning workouts are peaceful and fun and few people are there except Saturdays during meets. On those Saturdays, they have a lot of extra activities including a breakfast buffet (look up “Breakfast and the Works”). The Track Kitchen is open all the time and serves diner food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is ok, but it’s a neat experience to walk around and check out the nearby stables.

The distillery district is the newest "cool" place in Lexington. Goodfellas pizza is a personal favorite and this area of town is really cool. Same spot as Tthe Burl Arcade also listed in my guidebook. Crank and Boom Ice Cream is also there for an expensive premium cup of ice cream.

Sightseeing
To see some great horse farms take a short drive out Pisgah Pike! You will see the Kentucky Castle and some of the best horse farms in the area including Winstar Farms! 15 minutes from our home, turn right off Versailles road just past the castle.

Raven Run Nature Sanctuary

When you get to the bridge over the creek, you can walk down the creek a ways to the right of the bridge. When you reach the top of the waterfall you can sliver down the trail (to the right of the falls) to the bottom of the waterfall. If the water is moving and temperature right you can stand underneath this huge waterfall. Warning...When you get to the top of the fall, the trail down to the bottom can be tricky especially if it's wet.

Where to play golf
I would recommend playing at Kearney Hill. Lexington's nicest public course designed by Pete Dye and former home to the Senior PGA Tour. It's a links course.
Gay Brewer Picadome Golf Course is the closest course to our home. Older course with lots of tall pine trees and small greens.
If you just want to practice, try Man O War Golf. Near the airport and close to our home.
