Neighbourhoods

Apart from the major attraction in Central London, the beautiful parks in Battersea or the bustling Clapham there are many other exciting and vibrant neighbourhoods in London.
Shoreditch (touristic) It has become the epicentre of all things creative. Shoreditch is a region full of character retaining an industrial edge with a vibrant entertainment (i.e. Bounce Ping Pong Bar, Bar Kick, Ballie Ballerson, Village Underground) and nightlife scene (i.e. Old Street Record Café, Happiness Forgets, The Bike Shed Motorcycle Club, Nightjar, The Gibson) It is home to Brick Lane with its vintage shops, food markets and amazing street art / graffiti.

Brixton (non-touristic) Brixton’s rough and gritty history only serves to add to the lively and eclectic nature nowadays. It boasts a thriving creative arts scene and its plethora of pubs (i.e. The Duke of Edinburgh, Brixton Brewery Tap Room, The White Horse Brixton), clubs (i.e. Phonox, Prince of Wales, Hootananny, Effra Social) and restaurants (i.e. Gremio de Brixton, Negril) also ensures an enjoyable nightlife. With the container village Brixton Pop, it does not only house one of London’s greatest street food venues but also is home to Brixton Village, the biggest and best undercover market in London to taste world food.

Parks

We do not think it is necessary for us to mention London’s well-known attractions again. We are sure you have done your research. Therefore, we would like to give you a short overview of fun things to do in our neighbourhood.
Most likely one of the most beautiful parks in London overlooking the southern bank of the River Thames. The park boasts amongst its features a grand riverside promenade with Buddhist shrine, and a large lake with islands. There is also a nice café just by the lake. Distance: 0.8 miles / 1.2 km (17 min walk) Note: In Battersea Park the Thames Path section Albert Bridge to Tower Bridge begins passing by hidden haunts and famous landmarks (i.e. Big Ben, London Eye, Tate Modern) We provide a detailed map with our guidebook. It can also be downloaded here: http://content.tfl.gov.uk/thames-path-south-section-2.pdf Note: At the most Western side of Battersea Park you can find St. Albert Bridge, which is illuminated by 4,000 light bulbs at night.
