Located at the exit of the Kourtaliotikos Gorge, Preveli Beach is one of the most famous, sandy beaches in Crete, beautiful and romantic, where a river is flowing into the sea! Along the river there are colonies of the native Cretan palm trees of Theophrastus, making Preveli one of the most important reserves for the species.
Have a swim on the beach or walk through the palm forest.

A lovely, sandy beach in South Rethimno with crystal clear waters. Perfect to spend all day there with family and friends. It has some very nice beachside restaurants with great food.
It is popular both for locals and tourists, very well developed and organised. Damnoni is located at the exit of a large valley, protected by high mountains.
A bit further away from the previously suggested beaches so even in high season, you will still be able to find a place for you and your family. There is a very nice canteen type restaurant with beachside tables under the trees, you will be surprised by the quality of the dishes on offer.
