Mt Shasta Ski Park is located just minutes from McCloud, it offers Winter and Summer Operations. Winter operations include, snowboarding, skiing, tubing, a back country cabin, lessons, rentals and events. Summer operations offer chair rides, mountain biking and disk golf.

McCloud Golf course is a nine hole golf course which is open to public play. It first opened for play in 1923 and was built by the McCloud River Lumber Company.

The McCloud River loop road begins five
miles from McCloud at the Fowlers Campground
Lower Falls sign after turning right off of Highway
89. The River Loop road continues north east or left
at the intersection before the campground and winds
along the river passing various recreation sites and
comes back to Highway 89 approximately 11 miles
east of McCloud. The loop road is approximately six
miles long.
